So, the story goes something like this. . .
A powerful raja wanted to see if anyone could guess his thoughts. He asked his court, but no one succeeded. His minister’s daughter brought a simple shepherd to try. In court, the raja held up one finger, and the shepherd responded with two. Then the raja held up three fingers, but the shepherd shook his head and ran away. The raja believed the shepherd had reminded him that only God was as powerful as him, so he rewarded him. But later, the shepherd explained he thought the raja was asking for his sheep—first one, then two, and finally all three, which scared him off.

Long story short,
My first project with vector illustrations and folktales. Translating the folk art style authentically while keeping it fresh was a challenge, but every iteration shaped the final piece. Would do it again (minus all the apps crashing on me, thanks).

In the start of the project, we explored expressing through type. We chose words and had to represent their meanings through the letters alone.
